A book review: "In My Heart, a Hebrew Woman - The Last"

"In My Heart, a Hebrew Woman - The Last" is a novel inspired by a true story. The author, Khawla Hamdi, tells us how she met the protagonist of the story, Nada, who was sharing her story on an online platform. Khawla was able to contact her to learn more details and through the love story that emerged between the protagonist and one of the resistance heroes of the so-called "Jewish Arabs" community and resistance in Lebanon.

The story takes place in the heart of the Jewish neighborhood in southern Tunisia, where Rima, the orphaned Muslim girl, grew up in the arms of the Jewish family of Jacob. They considered her one of their own, and Jacob, in particular, loved her. He spent most of his time with her, reading her stories, playing with her, and enjoying her bursts of laughter and innocent emotions. The story highlights the beauty of love and acceptance that transcends religious and cultural differences, and it is a must-read for anyone interested in understanding the complexities of identity and belonging.
